No. Same great team, same quality service, just a new name.

Will anything change for my web site or marketing campaign?
The only change you will see is our new logo and url on our proposals, invoices, emails and on the footer of your web site. 

The old days

In 2004 when I started this company from my spare bedroom I didn’t give the name much thought. I went down to the county courthouse and registered the easiest name I could – MLB Web Design. MLB stands for Matthew Lee Bowman (not Major League Baseball. I like baseball but not that much). In those days I was doing everything from sales to design to coding all on my own. Things were pretty simple.

A new identity

As the company grew we added more clients and in turn more team members. For the last several years I’ve thought about a name change just to give the company it’s own identity separate from mine. “MLB” was what my mother called me when I was in trouble as a child and I just couldn’t take it any more. After lots of good ideas and several bad ones (Sneak Attack? Grizzly Bear?) I kept coming back to a favorite Bible verse of mine:

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. ~ Psalm 1:3

My hearts desire for my company, my employees, my clients and myself is that we would all be like that tree that never strays far from the source of life. Out of that desire came the name “Thrive”. To thrive is to grow or develop vigorously, to flourish. That is what we are all about!

The days ahead

With the new name also brings a new, broader focus. We want to do more than make your web site, we want to use your web site as a tool for growth. Because of that, we are now offering a broader range of services to our clients:
